Q. Do I need a referral to see a Physiotherapist at Path Allied Health?

No, you do not need a referral to see a physiotherapist at Path Allied Health. However, some insurance companies may require a referral for reimbursement.

Q. How do I book my first appointment?
​
If you are booking an appointment for yourself or a family member you can either call us on 1300 063 249, or get in touch via our Contact us page https://pathalliedhealth.com.au/contact-us .

Q. I’m a Support Coordinator. How do I make a referral?​
​
Just head to the ‘Make a Referral’ tab on our website navigation bar above and choose your referral type and complete the page form. Once we receive your referral, we’ll aim to respond within 2 business days to discuss next steps.

Q. What happens during my first appointment?
​
Your first session is all about you! We’ll start with a chat to understand your situation, symptoms, and goals. Then, we’ll assess things like your movement, strength, reflexes, and sensation. After that, we’ll work together to set some short- and long-term goals and give you exercises or tips to try between visits. Before you leave, we’ll book your next session so you’re all set.

Q. Do you do home visits?

​Absolutely! We’re all about convenience, so we come to you.

Q. How long will it take to see a Physiotherapist?
​
We’ll do our best to see you within 10 business days of your first contact.
​
Q. Are there travel fees?
​
Yes, there are travel fees for in-person visits. We’ll let you know the cost upfront based on your location and do our best to keep it low by coordinating visits in your area. If you prefer, you can always book a telehealth session, which doesn’t have any travel fees!

Q. I’m outside your catchment area. Can I still book an appointment?
​

Q. What’s your cancellation policy?
​
We ask for 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel. If we can fill your spot, you won’t be charged. Easy as that!
